Foodlyze (“we”, “us”, “the app”) is an AI nutrition and food-tracking app. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. We designed Foodlyze to keep your data tied to your account and to never sell your personal data or use it for third-party advertising.

We do not collect your precise location, contacts, or browsing history, and we do not use third-party advertising or tracking SDKs.
When you analyze a food photo, the image is sent over an encrypted connection to our backend, which forwards it to a third-party AI model (Google Gemini) to estimate the foods, portions, and nutrition. The photo and the recognition result are associated with your account so you can review and edit them. We do not use your photos to train third-party advertising models.
If you connect Apple Health, Foodlyze may read and write nutrition and body data with your permission. Data obtained from HealthKit is used only to provide app features (such as syncing meals, water, and body metrics). We do not use HealthKit data for advertising or marketing, and we do not share it with third parties for those purposes. You can revoke access at any time in the iOS Health app.
We share information only with providers that help us run the app, under their own security and privacy terms:

Apple processes all payments; we never receive your full payment-card details.
We keep your data while your account is active. You can delete individual meals at any time inside the app. To delete your account and associated data, contact us at the email below; we will remove your data from our active systems within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.
Data is transmitted over encrypted (HTTPS/TLS) connections and stored with access controls so that your records are only accessible to your account. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we work to protect your information.
Foodlyze is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your region), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we will delete it.
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data, and to withdraw consent. To exercise these rights, contact us using the details below.
Your information may be processed on servers located outside your country. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards for such transfers.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will revise the “Last updated” date above and, for material changes, provide notice in the app.
